farmers market spoils: early May

The beauty of staying in the same apartment for another lease is that on May 1st when nearly all renters are rushing around moving their possessions from one place to another, I am serene. This also meant that the farmer’s market was slightly less chaotic than usual.

You’ll notice that my farmer’s market spoils are slowly getting more colourful. As usual, I left with my favourite eggs. This time I got a loaf of dark European rye bread from the Future’s bakery stand, a small bag of organic salad greens, some sweet potatoes, some naturally grown rhubarb, and some maple walnut granola. Also exciting was the tiny snack cup of goat’s milk vanilla ice cream that I am trying desperately to save for a rainy day.
